ANRC Grants Two New Numbering Licenses

The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) granted two new numbering licences for the use of numbering resources to S.C. International Communications Systems S.R.L from Ploiesti and S.C. Euroweb Romania S.A. from Bucharest.

International Communications Systems will provide fixed telephony services in Prahova county through 10,000 numbers type 0344 75x xxx and various services through prepaid cards, for which it was allotted 1,000 numbers type 0808 850 xxx. The company will have the carrier selection code 1039.

Euroweb Romania will use 10,000 numbers type 0317 10x xxx for fixed telephony services in Bucharest and 1,000 numbers type 0808 800 xxx for the provision of various services through prepaid cards. The carrier selection code of Euroweb will be 1079.

Also, the licence held by S.C. Trans Tel Services S.R.L. was modified, the period for the use of the 021 8080xxx and 021 8081xxx blocks of numbers being prolonged until 30.06.2004. After this date, the free of charge services these numbers are used for will be provided based on numbers within the 0Z = 08 domain.

So far, 44 companies received licences for the use of numbering resources.
