Until Wednesday, the 9th of April, 1064 companies intending to obtain the General Authorization for the provision of electronic communications services and/or networks submitted notifications to ANRC. From the total number of the companies which filed ANRC a notification, 888 received standard certificates which grant their right to enter the market as providers of electronic communications services and networks.
A number of 605 companies were authorized to provide public electronic communications networks, divided as follows:

119 companies received the right to provide telephony services on the Romanian electronic communications market, as follows:

From the companies which will provide telephony services through fixed public networks, 87 companies will cover the local calls segment, 96 the long distance segment and 108 will provide services in the international calls segment. Moreover, a number of 48 companies expressed their intention to operate on the ISDN services segment.
Beside the telephony services, a number of 317 companies have the right to provide other types of services, as follows:
