ANRC Allocates 810,000 Numbers for Fixed Telephone Services

The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) issued a new license for the use of numbering resources to S.C. Data Telecom S.R.L. and supplemented the numbering resources previously allotted to S.C. Netmaster Communications S.R.L.

S.C. Data Telecom S.R.L. was granted the right to use 410,000 numbers within the 0Z=03 domain for the provision of fixed telephone services at national level. The company was also allotted 4000 numbers within the 0Z=08 domain for data networks and Internet access services provided through green numbers, virtual cards and pre-paid cards as well as 3000 numbers for Premium Rate Services (0Z=09 domain). S.C. Data Telecom S.R.L. will use the individual code for carrier selection for one step-dialling 1645 and the individual code for carrier selection for two-step dialling 1045.

In addition to the numbering resources previously allotted, S.C. Netmaster Communications S.R.L. was granted 400,000 numbers within the 0Z=03 domain for the provision of fixed telephone services and 2000 numbers within the 0Z=08 domain for the provision of data networks and Internet access services provided through universal access numbers.

So far, ANRC granted licenses for the use of numbering resources to 52 companies authorised to provide telephone services. The numbering resources allotted so far have reached the level of 40 million numbers.
