1,000,000 Numbers for Mobile Telephony Services

The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) has extended the numbering resources granted to S.C. Voxline Communication S.R.L. and S.C. MobiFon S.A.

Following a request submitted by S.C. MobiFon S.A. to ANRC, 1,000,000 numbers have been added to the numbering resources allocated to this company and they will be used for the provision of mobile telephony services at a national level.

S.C. Voxline Communication S.R.L. was granted the right to use, in addition to the resources allocated so far, a series of 10,000 numbers within the 0Z=03 domain destined to the provision of fixed telephony services in Bucharest. This company was also granted 3,000 numbers within the 0Z=08 domain for services of acces to data networks and Internet, services provided through virtual cards and televoting services. Moreover, this company received the 1057 code for carrier selection with an intemediary tone as well as the 1657 individual code for the selection of carrier services by one step dialling.

So far, 53 companies authorised to provide telephony services have been granted numbering licenses by ANRC. The numbering resources allocated up to the present date exceed 40 million numbers.
