The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) granted a new licence for the use of numbering resources to S.C. CANAL S S.R.L. and extended the numbering resources allotted to S.C. ROMTELECOM S.A. and S.C. ASTRAL TELECOM S.A. As well, ANRC granted S.C. IRISTEL ROMANIA S.R.L. a new one-step carrier selection code.
S.C. CANAL S S.R.L. required and received the right to use 10,000 geographical numbers in the 0Z=03 domain, covering Constanta county.
As well, ANRC allotted S.C. ROMTELECOM S.A. 1,000 numbers in the 0Z=08 domain for the provision of services by means of virtual cards.
S.C. ASTRAL TELECOM S.A. requested 1000 numbers in the 0Z=08 domain for each of the following services: miscellaneous services provided through green numbers, universal access numbers, and for televoting. This company was also allotted 1000 national non-geographical numbers for special tariff services in the 0Z=09 domain for each of the following categories: entertainment, games, telephone contests; general information, business and marketing; adult entertainment.
So far, ANRC granted numbering licences to 58 companies authorized to provide telephone services. The numbering resources allotted so far exceed 44 million call numbers.
