May, 23 2006. Orange and the National Regulatory Authority for Communications launched a new telecentre in Moieciu de Sus, Brasov county. The telecentre is part of the national programme for the installation of telecentres in villages deprived of access or having poor access to telephone services, initiated by ANRC in 2004.
The Moieciu de Sus telecentre has two telephone set, one multifunctional fax machine and two computers connected to the Internet. Over 5,000 villagers from Moieciu and the surrounding villages will originate and receive local, national and international calls, will have non-stop access to 112 – the national emergency number – and will have access to Internet and fax services.
