HOW TO REACH THE CITY
You are kindly requested to make your own international travel arrangements to and from Bucharest.
“Henry Coanda” International Airport – Otopeni is about 12 miles (20 km) North from downtown. The ride takes around 30 minutes, but traffic jams may occur during the busy hours.
TRANSPORTATION
Taxis are at your disposal and from the airport the fare is the equivalent in RON of about EUR 15. It is advisable to have Romanian currency ready and check the fare price with the driver before boarding. For your personal safety, please choose a taxi marked with the signs of a taxi company (Fly Taxi is recommended), rather than choosing one that only bears the number of its license.
Airport pick up and drop off is available from Radisson SAS Hotel on request.
In case you wish to call a taxi from any place in the city, please use the numbers of the most frequently used companies: 9440, 9441, 9451, 9791, 9425, 9444, 9488, 9466, 9477.
An airport shuttle bus (about 10 EUR), that can accommodate 6 to 40 passengers, is also available. The bus ride to downtown takes about 30 minutes.
