ANCOM

04.10.2013

During 9-10 October, the Romanian National Authority for Management and Regulation in Communications (ANCOM) will attend the Internet & Mobile World 2013, an event dedicated to the communications industry. ANCOM will offer to the attendants of this event information and details about the most important projects implemented by the Authority to the end-users’ benefit.

During the two days of the event, the ANCOM representatives will bring closer to the attending public the Infocentre section of its website, targeted at the end-users and offering details about the conclusion of the contracts for electronic communications services, the use of prepaid cards, the quality of services, the terminal unlocking or the roaming service. The ANCOM Infocentre makes available to the users dedicated guidebooks on issues such as the telephone frauds or the Internet access services.

The Authority encourages the industry members to better understand the end-users’ needs and embed them in their business objectives, developing a number of guides dedicated to the providers, such as the Guidebook on the conclusion and the minimum content of the contracts covering the provision of publicly available electronic communications services.

ANCOM will offer during the event in-depth information on the most important projects implemented over the years which hugely impacted the telecom market, on both end-users’ and operators’ level. The visitors will thus be able to learn more about the telephone number portability service, as well as the time needed for porting the number or the conditions in which a user can change the provider of telephone services while keeping his/her telephone number, and also about the advantages this service brings to the Romanian telephony market.

In addition, the visitors will have various materials at their disposal referring to other projects and actions of ANCOM which significantly influenced the communications market, such as the Infrastructure Law, which lays down the conditions of access of the providers of communications networks on the public or private property, or the general conditions for the provision of postal services and how the Authority safeguards the end-users’ rights and interests.

The second edition of the Internet & Mobile World takes place between 9 and 10 October at Romexpo and brings together companies from Romania which offer digital, mobile and software solutions. The 5,000 visitors expected to come to the event will have the possibility to hear the presentations held by over 25 international experts and to visit the stands of more than 130 companies supplying telecom business solutions.
