In order to achieve the objectives of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), respectively Investment I11 – “The implementation of a support scheme for the use of communication services through different types of tools for beneficiaries, focusing on white areas”, Component 7, the Authority submits to public consultation the situation of Romanian localities with regard to the existence of public fixed broadband communications networks.

The objectives of the public consultation

By carrying out this consultation, ANCOM aims to verify the accuracy of the information it holds, at the locality level, regarding the coverage with fixed broadband networks serving residential end-users and, at the same time, the authority aims to collect the investment intentions for the roll-out in the next 3 years of ultra-fast broadband networks in localities where there such networks do not exist.

Public Consultation Guideline

ANCOM’s list regarding the coverage of the Romanian territory with public broadband electronic communication networks capable of providing to natural persons access to broadband internet services at a fixed location, as well as the answering procedure, are available here.

Interested persons who have relevant information and find inaccuracies between the data presented in the list and the actual situation or persons who plan to invest in the coming years in localities where there is no fixed ultra-fast broadband public network are invited to report the inaccuracies, respectively to express their intention, by filling in the relevant fields within the list of corresponding localities, as per the instructions in the answering procedure.
