March 01, 2007 – the President of the National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRCTI), Mr. Dan Georgescu, and Mrs. Viorica Buzdugan, General Director of Rartel, have met the users of the telecentre in Plesani, county of Botosani, in order to present them and test together the telephone and Internet services provided by the telecentre installed here in january 2007.
This telecentre is part of the national programme for the installation of telecentres in villages with low access or without access to telephony services, initiated by ANRCTI in 2004. So far, ANRCTI has organised 5 tenders for the installation of telecentres in a number of 331 localities. 133 telecentres are currently operational.
