MATÁV
Attila Kovács graduated in 1977, earning an MScEE degree. In the first half of his carier he was involved in the export of telecommunications systems from Hungary to the Middle East and North Africa. From 1991 to 2000 he found himself on the opposite side of the table, being responsible for the procurement of complex telecommunications and IT systems for Matáv Hungarian Telecommunications Co. Ltd.
As a reminder of this period, he wrote a book titled “Enhancing Procurement Practices”, published by Kluwer Academic Publishers Inc. in 2004.
From 2000 Attila Kovács has been responsible for interconnection and regulatory related issues in different positions within Matáv. Today he is the Domestic Carriers Director, co-ordinating – among other things – the building and application of the wholesale strategy as well as the management of regulated and commercial wholesale product portfolio of Matáv.
