Today, June 1st, 2005, the distribution of the Fixed Telephony User Guide published by the National Regulatory Authority for Communications was initiated. During the next 15 days, 1,850,000 of the 2 million leaflets are to be dispatched in the mail boxes of the families in all the Romanian county capitals.
The Fixed Telephony User Guide provides information regarding the fixed telephony users’ rights, including a list of the operators offering fixed telephony services, details on the unique number for emergency calls – 112 – and on the use of green or premium rate numbers (of the 08 or 09 format), as well as on the carrier selection procedure. Moreover, the leaflet contains a list of key questions, which ANRC advises the users to address the providers prior to purchasing fixed telephone services.
This information leaflet is available – cost-free – at any of the ANRC territorial offices, as well as at the Public Relations Office within the Authority headquarters. Detailed information on all the issues approached in the leaflet is available on the Users’ Page of the ANRC website, www.anrc.ro.
