“This year’s edition of the CeBIT international fair has been a good opportunity for us to discuss both with the Romanian IT industry representatives and the foreign partners about the new regulatory attributions in the field of electronic communications, electronic commerce, temporal marking services and electronic activities of ANRCTI. Thus, we had the opportunity of initiating a collaboration between the private environment and our institution in order to be able to create a propitious framework for this sector’s development”, Dan Georgescu, the President of ANRCTI, declared on the occasion of Romania’s Day at CeBIT Hanover.
During the event, Dan Georgescu met representatives of the Romanian public and private IT sector asa well as foreign guests who were interested in the Romanian IT&C market evolution, the governmental drafts and programmes in the field and in the business opportunities for foreign investors. “One of our priorities shall be to create a legislative framework which would allow an exponential development of the electronic commerce, which is still under its adequate level”, Dan Georgescu added.
The ANRCTI new attributions foresee, as well, the unitary regulation of the Internet access services. ANRCTI is to establish the administration procedures of TLD (top level domain) “.ro” and of IP addresses.
