ANRC launches for public consultation the draft decisions on postponing the enforcement of the second phase in the reduction of the interconnection tariffs provided by S.C. “Vodafone Romania” – S.A. and by S.C. “Orange România” – S.A. on the markets of access to their own mobile public telephony networks for the purpose of call termination, based on a long-run average incremental costing model, established by the ANRC president’s Decisions nos.436/2006 and 437/2006.
Taking into account the level and the evolution of the mobile termination rates in the European Union Member States, as well as the fact that the rates for the termination of calls in the networks of the two operators are already the lowest in Europe, and considering the intended harmonisation at a European level, as part of Romania’s accession to the European Union, ANRC proposes the postponement of the second phase of reducing the tariffs for interconnection in view of call termination in the networks of S.C. Vodafone Romania S.A. and S.C. Orange România S.A., scheduled for January 1, 2007.
The draft decisions are available for consultation on the ANRC website. All interested persons are invited to send their comments and suggestions by November 1, 2006, by mail, to the ANRC headquarters (14 Libertatii Blvd., 5th District, Bucharest) or directly to the ANRC registration office or to the closest territorial office of ANRC. Comments and suggestions may be sent also by fax to +40 21 307 54 02 or by e-mail to consultare@anrc.ro.
