ANRC allotted numbering resources for the provision of telephone services to Complax Telecomunicatii, Diginet, Lidas Prod, Miba Telecom 2002, Orange Romania and Romtelecom.
Complax Telecomunicatii was granted 1,000 numbers in the 0Z=08 domain for the provision of services through prepaid cards and the individual carrier selection codes 1042 and 1678.
Miba Telecom 2002, Diginet and Lidas Prod requested and were granted blocks of 10,000 numbers in the 0Z=03 domain for the provision of fixed telephone services. Thus, Miba Telecom 2002 will provide fixed telephone services in Bucharest, Diginet – in the county of Botosani and Lidas Prod – in the county of Teleorman. Lidas Prod was also allotted 1,000 numbers for services offered through green numbers (0Z=08 domain).
Orange Romania was granted the right to use one more million numbers for the provision of mobile telephone services, this company having received, so far, 13 million numbers in the 0Z=07 domain.
Romtelecom requested and was granted the right to use 500,000 new numbers for the provision of fixed telephone services (in the 0Z=02 domain), 100,000 in Bucharest and the county of Ilfov and 40 blocks of 10,000 numbers for the rest of the counties. Furthermore, upon Romtelecom’s request, ANRC withdrew 450,000 numbers in the 0Z=03 domain from this company. At present, Romtelecom has the right to use 13,584,000 numbers for fixed telephone services.
So far, ANRC allotted more than 64 million numbers, based on the procedure of granting licences for the use of numbering resources. 53.9% of these have been allotted for fixed telephone services, whereas 44.8% of the allotted numbering resources were assigned for the provision of mobile telephone services.
