30 August 2011
Today, 30 August 2011, ANCOM has submitted to public consultation a Draft decision on amending the National Table for Frequency Allocation, approved by Order of the Minister for Communications and Information Society no.789/2009, with the subsequent amendments.
By means of the draft decision subjected to consultation, ANCOM wishes to transpose certain decisions the European Commission adopted during 2010 and 2011, i.e. Decision 2010/368/EU amending Decision 2006/771/EC on harmonisation of the radio spectrum for use by short-range devices and Decision 2011/251/EU which pursues the harmonisation of the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands for terrestrial systems capable of providing pan-European electronic communications services in the Community.
As well, via this draft decision, ANCOM proposes aligning the NTFA provisions in the 27.50–29.50 GHz frequency band, concerning the assignments for fixed and fixed satellite services, to the actual situation (in which the two services may geographically share the use of the whole frequency band, thus being removed the band segmentation restrictions).
The draft decision on amending the National Table for Frequency Allocation, approved by Order of the Minister for Communications and Information Society no.789/2009, with the subsequent amendments, is available for consultation on the ANCOM website, here. The interested persons are invited to send their comments and suggestions, by 09.09.2011, at the ANCOM headquarters in 2 Delea Noua Street, Bucharest 3, or directly to the ANCOM Registry Office. Comments and recommendations may also be sent by fax to +40 732 845 404 or by e-mail to consultare@ancom.org.ro.
