The National Regulatory Authority for Communications issued 8 new numbering licences, comprising 1,9 million numbers, allotted to the following companies: S.C. Aietes Telecom Galati – Tulcea Branch S.R.L., S.C. Astral S.R.L., S.C. Danubius Telecom S.A., S.C. Dial Telecom S.R.L., S.C. Idilis S.A., S.C. Iristel Romania S.R.L., S.C. Orange Romania S.A. and S.C.Plug IT International S.R.L.

S.C. Orange Romania S.A. was granted 1,000,000 type 0741 xxx xxx numbers and 3,000 numbers within the Z=9 domain. The latter range of numbers will be used for the provision of premium rate services, such as games, phone contests, general information, business and entertainment for adults

S.C. Iristel Romania S.R.L. received a range of 190,000 numbers within the Z=3 domain, to be used in Bucharest and other 16 counties. In addition, it has also received 4,000 numbers within the Z=8 domain (prepaid cards, virtual cards, televoting services and green numbers) and 3,000 numbers within the Z=9 domain (premium rates services).

Within the Z=3 domain, 710,000 numbers were also allotted to other companies, together with the individual carrier selection code, as follows:

Also, S.C. Idilis S.R.L. received, in addition to the numbering resources mentioned above, 6,000 numbers within the Z=8 and Z=9 domains. The companies S.C. Dial Telecom S.R.L. and S.C. Danubius Telecom S.A. were allotted, within the Z=8 domain, ranges of 1,000 numbers for green numbers and of 3,000 numbers for virtual cards, prepaid cards, data networks and Internet access.

The company S.C. Plug IT International S.R.L. received 10.000 numbers within the Z=2, which will be used in Bucharest, 4,000 numbers within the Z=8 domain as well as the carrier selection code 1040.

So far, the National Regulatory Authority for Communications granted numbering licences, comprising over 30 million numbers for 35 companies. The process to grant numbering licences will be open as long as there are requests from the authorized companies to provide telephony services.
