The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) extended the numbering resources granted to S.C. ORANGE ROMANIA S.A. and S.C. THOMAS HOOK COMMUNICATIONS ROMANIA S.R.L.
Thus, upon the request submitted to ANRC and having completed the thorough procedure for the allocation of numbering resources, S.C. ORANGE S.A. was granted – in addition to the previously allotted resources – a block of 1,000,000 numbers to be used for the provision of mobile telephone services at national level.
S.C. THOMAS HOOK COMMUNICATIONS ROMANIA S.R.L. was granted the right to use 410,000 numbers in the 0Z=03 domain, for the provision of fixed telephone services at national level. This company was also allotted 6000 numbers in the 0Z=08 domain for miscellaneous services and 1000 numbers in the 0Z=09 domain for adult entertainment services. Furthermore, this company was granted the indicative 1642 for one-step carrier selection.
So far, ANRC granted licenses for the use of the numbering resources to 62 providers who are authorised to provide telephone services. Further details regarding the companies that were granted licenses for the use of the numbering resources are available on the ANRC website.
