The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) granted three new numbering licences to S.C. Atlas Telecom Network Romania SRL from Oradea and to S.C. Eastern Space Systems S.R.L. and S.C. Dial Telecom S.R.L. from Bucharest.

For the provision of telephony services through fixed public networks, Atlas Telecom received 1,000,000 number within the 0Z=03 domain, among which 310,000 will be used in Bucharest, the remainder covering other 19 counties. The company was also allotted 4,000 numbers for the provision of data networks and Internet access services (1,000 numbers of 0870 300 xxx type), for prepaid cards (1,000 numbers of 0808 300 xxx type), virtual cards (1,000 numbers of 0807 300 xxx type) and for green numbers (1,000 numbers of 0800 300 xxx type). The carrier code for Atlas Telecom will be 1030.

Eastern Space Systems will mainly provide telephony services through fixed public electronic communications networks in Bucharest and other 16 counties. For this purpose, the company was allotted 190,000 numbers within the 0Z=03 domain, among which three ranges 10,000 numbers each will be used in Bucharest and a range of 10,000 numbers in each of the 16 counties. The company also received 4,000 national non-geographic numbers within the 0Z=08 domain, evenly distributed for tele-voting services (numbers type 0805 380 xxx), virtual cards (0807 380 xxx), prepaid cards (0808 380 xxx), green numbers (0800 380 xxx), as well as 2,000 national non-geographic numbers within the 0Z=09 domain for special tariff services. The latter will be used both for the provision of entertaining services, games, phone contests (1,000 numbers of 0900 080 xxx type) and for the provision of general information, business and marketing services (1,000 numbers of 0903 080 xxx type).

Dial Telecom received a range of 10,000 numbers type 0215 29x xxx for the provision of telephony services through fixed public electronic communications services in Bucharest, as well as the 1029 carrier selection code.

The ANRC specialists are analysing the requests for numbering licences received from the AccessNET International and Vip Plus Computers companies. They will receive licences for the requested resources during the following period, and thus ANRC will solve all the requests for numbering resources submitted so far. ANRC granted so far 25 numbering licences, the resources already allocated nearing 27,000,000 numbers. ANRC will continue to grant numbering licences as the providers submit requests.
