The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) issued two new licences for the use of numbering resources to S.C. CONNET-RO S.R.L. and S.C. TELECOMUNICATII CFR S.A. and extended the numbering resources granted to S.C. PLUG IT INTERNATIONAL S.R.L.
S.C. CONNET-RO S.R.L was granted the right to use 410,000 new geographical numbers in the OZ=03 domain and 1000 new numbers for services provided through prepaid cards.
As well, ANRC allotted S.C. TELECOMUNICATII CFR S.A. 430,000 numbers in the OZ=03 domain covering 40 counties of Romania and the city of Bucharest. This company was also granted 1000 numbers in the OZ=08 domain.
S.C. PLUG IT INTERNATIONAL S.R.L was granted the right to use, in addition to the previously granted resources, 3000 national non-geographical numbers for special tariff services in the following categories: entertainment, games, telephone contests, general information, business and marketing information, adult entertainment.
So far, ANRC has granted numbering licenses to 57 companies authorised to provide telephone services. The numbering resources allotted so far have exceeded 44 million call numbers.
