800,000 Numbering Resources for National Coverage Fixed-Line Telephony

The National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRC) extended the numbering resources granted to the companies S.C. TELCOR COMMUNICATIONS S.R.L. and S.C. EUROWEB ROMANIA S.A.

ANRC granted to S.C. TELCOR COMMUNICATIONS S.L.R. and S.C. EUROWEB ROMANIA S.A., in addition to the previously granted resources, 400,000 national geographical numbers for each company, within the 0Z=03 domain, for the provision of fixed-line telephony services. Each company requested 10,000 national coverage numbers for each county in Romania. Apart from these numbering resources, the company S.C. TELCOR COMMUNICATIONS requested 1000 national non-geographical numbers within the 0Z=08 domain for services of access to data transmissions and Internet and for universal access numbers.

As well, ANRC issued a new license for the company S.C. OLTENIA NETWORK CABLE S.R.L. granting 10,000 numbers within the 0Z=03 domain, for local coverage in the county of Dolj.

So far, ANRC has granted numbering licenses to 54 companies authorised to provide telephony services. The numbering resources allotted so far have exceeded 42 million numbers.
