Tuesday, November 15, 2005, the Vice-president of the National Regulatory Authoirty for Communications, Ms. Alexandrina Hirtan, delivered a speech in the opening session of the 10th Cable Communications Convention.
The ANRC Vice-president delivered a speech entitled „Cable broadband access to the Internet – trends and development potential” highlighting the opportunities for the providers of services of audio-visual programmes re-transmission to take up provision of high-speed Internet access services to their CATV subscribers. Furthermore, Alexandrina Hirtan pointed out the provisions of the draft law on the on the regime of the communications network infrastructure, regulating the access on properties of the providers of electronic communications networks and services, the shared use of electronic communications network infrastructure (masts, pillars, ducts etc.), as well as certain issues concerning the installation of electronic communications networks.
