February 28, 2007 – the President of the National Regulatory Authority for Communications (ANRCTI), Mr. Dan Georgescu, and Mr. Viorel Dima Regional Manager of Vodafone Romania, have met the users of the telecentre in Sarateni, county of Vaslui, in order to present them and test together the telephone and Internet services provided by the telecentre installed here by Vodafone. This telecentre is part of the national programme for the installation of telecentres in villages with low access or without access to telephony services, initiated by ANRCTI in 2004. So far, ANRCTI has organised 5 tenders for the installation of telecentres in a number of 331 localities. 133 telecentres are currently operational.
